Used as a monomer for polyacrylamide, its polymer or copolymer is used as a chemical grouting material, soil conditioner, flocculant, adhesive and coating. Polyacrylamide is used as an additive to improve oil recovery. It can be used as a flocculant for wastewater treatment or as a paper enhancer. Uses Acrylamide is the most important product in acrylamide and methacrylamide products. After being used in industry in 1954, it needs to grow gradually. Main application areas:
(1) Oilfield This product is used in oilfield water injection wells to adjust the water absorption profile. The product is mixed with an initiator, an oxygen scavenger, etc., and injected into a high permeability zone of the water injection well. (3) Soil improver The soil hydrolysate can be used as a soil improver to granulate soil and improve air circulation, water permeability and water retention.
(4) Fiber modification and resin processing Acrylamide is subjected to carbamoylation or graft polymerization. It can be used to improve the resin finishing of various fibers containing synthetic fibers, warp yarns and printing pastes to improve the basic properties of fiber fabrics, anti-wrinkle, anti-shrink and good hand feeling.
(5) Paper strength enhancer A copolymer of acrylamide and acrylic acid or a partial hydrolyzate of polyacrylamide can be used as a paper strength enhancer instead of the already used starch, water-soluble amino resin or common.
(6) Adhesive A glass fiber adhesive which is used together with a polyacrylamide and a phenol resin solution, and a pressure sensitive adhesive which is used together with a synthetic rubber. It is used as a raw material for the production of polyacrylamide and its series of products. It is used as a monomer for polyacrylamide.
